Will SedMed Fit My Toilet?

SedMed fits most standard toilets and attaches directly to the toilet, so most bathrooms are ready as-is. This guide helps you do a quick final check if your toilet has an unusual shape or sits in a tight space.

Compatible with most round, elongated, ADA-height, and wall-mounted toilets. No plumbing or electrical work required.

Let's Double-Check — Grab a Tape Measure

Things look tight? A quick measurement will tell you for sure.

If both sides of your toilet have walls, vanities, or fixtures close by, we recommend a few quick measurements to make sure everything clears. It only takes a minute.

Measure these 4 things:
1
Center of toilet to left wall/obstacle 14 in min
If less than 14 in, the release handle can be moved to the right side
2
Center of toilet to right wall/obstacle 12.5 in min
3
Widest part of toilet bowl 17 in max
Bowl must not exceed 17 inches at the widest point
4
Toilet rim to floor 12 in min
Rim height clearance for the mechanism

Round toilet? Measure from the tank to the front inner lip — it should be at least 18 inches so the SedMed does not overhang. If it is close, contact us to verify.

Not Compatible

When SedMed Won't Fit

SedMed is not compatible with wall-mounted toilets or bathrooms where the toilet is boxed in tightly on both sides with insufficient clearance. If walls or fixtures leave less than 12.5 inches on either side of center, SedMed cannot be safely installed.

SedMed does NOT work with:
Toilets boxed in on both sides with under 12.5 in clearance
Toilet bowls wider than 17 inches at the widest point
Toilets where the tank flares past the mounting area (under 0.75 in clearance)
